Testing

Follow the steps below to test if the laser is working well.

IMPORTANT

Make sure the fiber optics interface is connected to the laser head and the cooling water is connected before testing.

  1. Turn on the chiller to check if there is any leaking on the cooling water interfaces, refer to the corresponding laser head manual for more details.

    WARNING

Make sure the control interface is CONNECTED or COVERED by the cap before the cooling water test to avoid getting the inside wet and the resulting malfunctions.

    IMPORTANT

Set the cooling water temperature ABOVE the dew point to avoid condensation in the laser.

  2. Turn on MAIN SWITCH, refer to Front Panel and Rear Panel for more details.

  3. Release EMERGENCY STOP.

  4. Turn on KEY SWITCH, wait for the laser to finish the self-checking process.

    NOTE

If the ambient temperature and humidity is too high, the laser may start a dehumidification process, which may take a few minutes.

  5. Press START or click the corresponding button in the software if the system is set up in that way to get the laser ready.

  6. Fire the laser, refer to the corresponding system, software and laser head manuals for more instruction details.
