Matching

In the camera positioning cutting, the software will follow the relative positions of the marks in the design, based on the current position of the camera, and try to find out the real positions by geometry matching.

Set up the matching parameters in the tab Model Set of System Work Plat.

Set up Matching Parameters

The software will search for the mark in the valid zone instead of the whole camera view if Valid zone in the tab Manual of System Work Plat is checked, refer here for more details. Similarity determines how similar a mark need to be to the design to be considered valid, do not set it too high to accept normal error and image processing loss. Length error and Angle error help choose the unique candidate if the software finds more than one mark in the target area, do not set the values too small to get the mark.

In the advanced settings, if Angle is checked, the software could still get a match unless the work piece is put out of the angle. Make sure Enable second position is checked, it instructs the software to move the camera on right top of the mark after the first matching, make the mark in the right center of the camera view and do a matching again to improve the accuracy, even if there is a notable error in the camera size calibration.

Set up Matching Parameters Advanced

Put a work piece in the work area, move the camera on top of the first mark, adjust the valid zone, click Match test to do a single mark matching test.

A blue cross shows up on the mark in the camera view if the software gets a match, and a message box of the matching result pops up.

NOTE

Check black or white right next to the mark geometry schema if the software cannot get a match or the match is not accurate.

After that, do a job matching test. Move the camera on top of the first mark, adjust the valid zone, and click Mark first in the tab Manual of System Work Plat, then click Start on Laser Bar to start processing, refer to The Camera Positioning Cutting Control Process for more details. The software will try to find the first mark, and then the rest marks one by one. The matching parameters are good if all the marks are found successfully, otherwise, try to adjust the parameters and double check if there is something wrong in the design or around the work piece, e.g. in different scales, similar geometries, etc.
